Providing support for disaster recovery exercises through their vaulting operations, and tape and encryption processes. Monitoring storage environment to ensure that storage workloads are performing as designed and planned. This includes managing and documenting the Storage Resource Management (SRM), Storage Performance Management, Control Software and error reporting software. Design, build/re-engineer, test, deploy, and document both Storage Management System (SMS) and non-SMS system storage space for each sysplex. Assist with DDMC and UniSphere deployment enhancements and exploration. Analyze the operating posture of the existing storage hardware and software. Use of IBM's Job Control Language (JCL), IBM's dataset utilities, IBM's Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF), and IBM's Access Method Services (IDCAMS) tools to manage datasets. Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Challenge with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions. Work with highly experienced and techn Basic Qualifications: Bachelors and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience. 7 years of experience or more as a Mainframe Storage Engineer. 5 years of experience with Oracle VSMc (VSM console), VSM, VLE and ZFS Virtual tape Libraries. 4 years of experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL). 4 years of experience with CA-1 Tape Management System (TMS) and CA Vantage. 3 years of experience designing and building Storage Management System (SMS). 2 years of experience using DataDomain Management Center (DDMC) Expertise in the Linux command-line environment.
