The role will need this background to document current transaction flows and help improve the flows, reverse engineering changes that may be made in the flow of sales data in middleware. This consultant does not need to be system technical, but able to follow the flow of transactions that occur from the POS terminal through the various systems. Ultimately able to effectively document the current flow and transformations that may occur to data along the route. This requires someone who can lead the effort, not an order taker. The Sr Business Analyst will facilitate assigned projects by serving as a liaison between the business and technology through the analysis of business performance drivers. The candidate would desire to be part of a high performing team environment, consistently challenging the status quo and driving improvements Duties/Responsibilities: Identify any root cause issues of any problems in data/ways of working Identification of trends in business performance that provide valuable insights to operations team to her drive improved business performance Support monthly operations commentary on performance that accompanies the senior leadership reporting Drive the change agenda across operations to provide solutions for business problems through continuous improvement initiatives Weekly review of key store performance metrics, providing valuable reporting to the relevant team members and pushing for improvements through revenue and volumes across the three core pillars of fuel, food, and store Able to provide labor actuals-v-budget and forecasting Identify unusual variances through inventory management at the stores Invoice entry timeliness at the stores and completeness of goods receiving Lead/support in targeted projects to deliver better store performance through more accurate data and information: price book accuracy, rebate management, store register simplification, bolt on offers profitability assessment to simplify offers across the network Analysis of financial data to understand key business performance drivers and where issues are identified supporting the resolution through continuous improvement initiatives Develop and maintain strong relationships with the operations and finance teams representing a true business partner proactively driving the performance of the stores/region Assist in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Additional duties as necessary including ad hoc project work Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience maintaining professionalism under pressure Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment. A can do attitude and a positive solution focused mindset. A highly organized individual with ability to plan and organize own workload effectively for maximum impact and who is flexible and adaptable around changing business needs.
