Database Developer

Must be an expert at T-SQL and stored procedures.

We are looking for a qualified Database developer to design stable and reliable databases, according to our companys needs. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively. You will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. You will collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our database systems run effectively and securely daily.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing query performance and optimizing code.

Writing queries used for front-end applications (websites, desktop applications, services, and Entity Framework)

Work with Microsoft Products such as Team Foundation Server, Microsoft SQL, Management Studio and Source Control

Designing and coding database tables to store the applications data

Data modeling to visualize database structure

Working with application developers to create optimized queries

Creating database triggers for automation, e.g., automatic email notifications

Backup and restoration of databases to different environments

Creating table indexes to improve database performance

Programming views, stored procedures, common table expressions, and functions

Creates release package T-SQL scripts for data updates/fixes that need to be propagated to multiple environments and include them in the release deployment package.

Creates, tests, and executes one-off T-SQL scripts to correct application data in the appropriate environments.

Provides database design and coding standard recommendations to the team.

Documents the database environment.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Database developer

In-depth understanding of data management (e.g., permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)

Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications

Hands on experience with SQL

Excellent analytical and organization skills

An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
