This is a full-time remote consulting engagement that requires a Sr. Data Architect / DBA to provide development and production support for enterprise database applications. Qualified candidates must have expertise in MySQL and PostgreSQL. MySQL and PostgreSQL Data Architects / Database Administrators are responsible for evaluating requirements to design, implement, and maintain efficient database solutions that satisfy the business requirements and are responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical RDBMS systems. Their main goal is to ensure the availability and consistent performance of various applications: Design database schemas ensuring that the design efficiently supports all business requirements Write DDL and DML scripts to create and maintain the database schema Write and maintain database documentation including models, ERDs and data dictionaries Experience with Liquibase is desired Assist developers with query tuning Monitor system's health and performance Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time Provide support for critical production systems Manage and maintain AWS MySQL and PostgreSQL databases instances Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours Experience with developing and using Appian and/or other low code workflow applications.
