Fully Remote Duration : 6+ months No H1B About the Opportunity: Hybrid Pathways is currently looking for an experienced Data Privacy Specialist for our client. Our client requires an experienced Data Privacy Specialist to assist its IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. The right candidate will be responsible for the implementation and management of the development and maturation of the clients Privacy Program with key responsibility for data risk and data protection. This is a 6-month remote opportunity with the possibility of going full-time for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Own and keep current all corporate data protection compliance program activities to include updating policies and guidance, centralizing processes and putting in place robust, time-bound remedial plans where necessary. Develop, maintain, and communicate business unit scorecards across the enterprise to help embed privacy accountability into the business stakeholders. Perform deep dives on privacy-related processes and systems. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business and support organizations such as IT Product Owners, Customer Group, Legal and Procurement to ensure they understand the privacy requirements to ensure that privacy is considered in projects, initiatives, and decisions. Inform and advise leadership on Data Protection Regulations and their requirements Serving as a subject matter expert as part of the overall IT governance, risk and compliance program. Act as a liaison to the companys Enterprise Risk Management office in relation to data privacy issues. Develop and manage a data privacy network across the enterprise. Focus on protecting data privacy and security of customers and employees. Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to Data Privacy. Ensure that systematic compliance audits are undertaken and that their findings are reported and acted upon. Develop and maintain a current data inventory system of record to include an internal assessment of what data is collected, location where stored or shared and the retention and disposition required. Lead and develop data maps. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. 5-7 years of experience designing first-party solutions, integrations, data modeling, and data analysis. 5-7 years of experience in implementation projects. 5-7 years of experience in data retention, data privacy, and data security. Understanding compliance, regulators, and legal data needs related to privacy and data security. Demonstrate experience of managing data privacy issues in a corporate organization. Expertise in data protection laws and practices. Capable of conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audits. Ability to develop awareness training and communications at all levels within the organization. Ability to review, analyze and organize evidence. Ability to own tasks under aggressive targets and effectively adapt and reprioritize to changes in plan. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and online research tools. High work standard. Excellent writing, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines and manage own workload. Good communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with people across the business. Ability to work well in both a team and individually. Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science. |
