Our team is composed primarily of Google Business/Data Analysts working with legal and regulatory data. Data security and integrity are the primary concerns. We are seeking consultants to support these analysts. Core Competencies: Business Analysis Ability to both interpret and construct business requirements documents. Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing stakeholder needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions. Ability to both construct and analyze models and diagrams in LucidChart and Google Drawings Technical Skills: OLAP data management with columnar databases and sophisticated data catalog. Similar products: Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks. GoogleSQL - GoogleSQL is an advanced sql dialect including embedded Javascript and Lua functions. All transformations are handled with GoogleSQL and our DAG orchestration tool exclusively manages GoogleSQL pipelines. Data Visualization is handled with a google internal tool similar to Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau. Additionally, this tool supports html, css and the Vega visualization grammar for custom and advanced visualizations. Candidates must be ready to learn and work with these tools. Version Control is critical to our team. We use a google internal tool similar to Git. Pulls, pushes, code reviews and managing CI/CD workflows are part of the daily activities. Linux CLI. Candidates must be comfortable on the command line in order to handle routine parts of the development process. Responsibilities: Daily communication with USA-based business analysts in chat and email for clarity on complex business requirements Write and refactor SQL for new and existing projects Create/refactor dashboards & data visualizations, including html, css and Vega visualization grammar Check in and review code in the version control system Data validation and data audits Stay current with google technology Query and manage data catalog entries.
