Our task is not just a simple "keep the lights on but to continuously improve the IT Operations on Global level. You will be the responsible person to install, maintain and update all local servers and data center related hardware and software elements. Significant part of your portfolio will be to setup and maintain local VMware environment with Fault Tolerance, guarantee the maximum availability of servers and local data centers and ensure the appropriate level of IT backups and restores. Because of this, hands on experience of server and network infrastructure is requested and mandatory. IT Operations department is the bridge between IT and Business and the first point of contact to the employees regarding hardware and software tasks. You are the specialist to troubleshooting IT technical issues, and your task to diagnose where the problem is and implement a solution or involve the appropriate IT Team to solve it together. You will ensure that the Corporate standards are followed on local level and actively suggest ideas how to make them better. Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshooting server and data center hardware and software related issues and follow-up until they are solved Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on servers Setup and maintain VMware Fault Tolerance Install, configure and update on-prem servers and data center related hardware and software Monitor the availability of IT systems through existing portals and log/resolve/escalate issues Monitoring the performance of servers, data centers and backups to ensure they run efficiently, and troubleshooting any issues that arise Monitoring server storage capacity to ensure adequate space is available for new data Vendor negotiation, IT server/data center HW, SW and licenses procurement Monitor the environmental conditions of a data center to ensure they are optimum for servers, routers, and other devices Follow IT standards, processes and policies propose improvements of these Work in an international team and be part in a multicultural team Requirements: Proven work experience as a Servers Engineer or Data Center Engineer Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Fluent English and German language skills Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and process execution VMware and Microsoft Server certified Power scripting knowledge Windows Server all versions, Microsoft Active Directory, Server hardware, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting Solid knowledge of MS SQL Extended knowledge of HPE servers and different enterprise level Storage solutions Strong VMware Fault Tolerance and Storage synchronization experience Accuracy with work, strong organizational skills and attention to details Ability to solve complex server and data center related hardware and software issues Willingness to travel 10% Regards, Sam Young, Manager-Sales, (Best way to reach me is Email.) :[email protected] Keywords: information technology microsoft South Carolina http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=865267&uid= |
