Role:- IBM Mainframe Tester Location: - Rosemont, IL (Initial remote ok) Duration : Contract Job Description: Technical skills: 5+ years of Overall experience with 3+ years of working on IBM Mainframes as Quality analyst. Expert in: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DataCom, Endevor, Intertest, Abend-Aid, FileMaster . Strong QA foundation and ability to perform Integration testing, back-end testing, database validation skills, End to End and Regression testing. Test Management, Defect management, Test Data management Advanced knowledge of test engineering practices within an Agile SDLC methodology. Familiarity with: Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT). Exposure on Jira, Confluence Exposure on any Test Management Tool say qTest/TestRail/xRay/Azure Devops Automation Tools & Framework experience ( Good to Have) Collaborate with Scrum Team to come up with QA Strategy and implement the same Recommend improvements into overall best practices, design, testability, quality, and test Reports. Responsibilities: Understanding requirements from a business perspective to be validated through testing and assessing them in the context of an Agile/Scrum delivery model Understanding of the SDLC activities expected to deliver custom developed and packaged applications Well experienced in Software Quality Principles, Advanced Test Methodologies, Best Practices and Procedures. Understanding conventional and cloud testing strategies. IBM mainframes Testing, Systems Integration tester experience; back-end testing; database validation skills; web service testing experience Proactively keeping up with the latest trends in testing Experience working with business users coordinating, facilitating UAT Soft skill: Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong Analytical skills Good organizational skills Good collaboration skills Good Reporting skills Strong Team Skills .
