The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS Postgres databases, proficient in writing and analyzing complex database queries for performance optimization, and possess the ability to create intricate views and stored procedures with embedded business logic. Responsibilities: 1. Database Design and Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain AWS Postgres database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Identify and address performance bottlenecks through in-depth analysis of database queries and system architecture. 2. Query Optimization: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to meet business requirements and enhance system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data access patterns and implement best practices for efficient query execution. 3. Stored Procedures and Views: Develop and maintain complex stored procedures and views, incorporating business logic to support application requirements. Ensure data integrity and consistency through the implementation of effective stored procedures. 4. ETL Development: Utilize AWS Glue jobs and other ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the database. Develop, test, and deploy ETL processes to support data integration and migration initiatives. 5. Medical Insurance Domain Expertise: Apply domain expertise in medical insurance databases to understand and address specific requirements and challenges in the healthcare industry. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective database solutions. 6. Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, ETL processes, and data models. Implement and promote best practices for database development, ensuring consistency and adherence to industry standards. 7. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data analysts, and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of database solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in database development and ETL processes. Expertise in AWS Postgres databases and query optimization. Proficient in creating complex views and stored procedures with embedded business logic. Experience with AWS Glue jobs is preferred.
