Role:- QA Lead (API, DB testing, Kafka) Location: Rosemont, IL (Initial remote ok) Duration : Long term Contract Mandatory skills API Testing, DB Testing, Kafka Required: API Testing: Conduct thorough testing of RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools. Validate responses, status codes, and API performance. Develop and maintain test suites for API endpoints. Database Testing: Perform database testing with a focus on MongoDB and SQL Server. Validate data integrity, data formats, and query outputs. Write and execute complex SQL queries for test validation. Kafka Experience: Monitor and test Kafka topics to ensure smooth data flow. Use KPow or similar tools for Kafka cluster management and topic inspection. Troubleshoot and analyze issues related to message queuing and streaming. eCommerce Architecture Understanding: Test and validate various components of eCommerce platforms. Ensure the scalability and security of eCommerce architectures. Collaborate with development teams to understand and test new features. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and create effective test plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage. Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and provide feedback on product quality. Proven experience in API and DB testing. Proficiency in using tools like Postman for API testing. Strong understanding of MongoDB and SQL Server databases. Hands-on experience with Kafka topics and tools like KPow. Familiarity with eCommerce architecture and systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
