Meraki Engineer - End-of-Life (EOL) Project USC/GC (Independent and local candidates ) Location: ONSITE in Hamilton, NJ Street: 300 Clocktower Drive City: Hamilton State: NJ 08691 Duration: 3-6 Months Contract **Starting in January 2024 Interview :Phone and WebEx Onsite Configuration: Work onsite to mirror the configurations of the EOL equipment, under the guidance and supervision of a lead engineer from our Hamilton, NJ office. This will require unboxing, configuring, labeling, packaging, and shipping in coordination with our regional Service Delivery Managers. Company Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meraki Engineer to join our team for a crucial project involving the replacement and configuration of Meraki access points and switches for 360 sites as part of an end-of-life (EOL) upgrade. This project will involve working with a team of professionals to ensure the smooth transition from outdated equipment to new Meraki switches and access points. Job Description: Position Summary: As a Meraki Engineer, you will play a critical role in replacing and configuring Meraki switches and access points in 360 sites, split into separate teams, for an end-of-life (EOL) project. This project is expected to last for a minimum of 6 months, and you will work out of the Hamilton, NJ office to mirror configurations of the EOL equipment under the supervision of a lead engineer. The new hardware to be installed will exclusively consist of Meraki switches and access points. Responsibilities: End-of-Life (EOL) Replacement: Configure Meraki access points and switches working with a team on 360 sites, ensuring a seamless transition from outdated equipment to new Meraki hardware. Onsite Configuration: Work onsite to mirror the configurations of the EOL equipment, under the guidance and supervision of a lead engineer from our Hamilton, NJ office. This will require unboxing, configuring, labeling, packaging, and shipping in coordination with our regional Service Delivery Managers. Collaboration: Collaborate with a team of professionals, including network engineers and project managers, to ensure the project's success. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for each site. Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous quality assurance checks to ensure that the new Meraki hardware is functioning optimally. Troubleshooting: Address any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the project and collaborate with the team to find effective solutions. Compliance: Ensure that all work is in compliance with company standards, security policies, and best practices. Communication: Keep project managers and team members informed about project progress, challenges, and milestones. Qualifications: Proven experience in configuring and replacing network equipment, with specific expertise in Meraki switches and access points. Certification in Meraki or equivalent networking certification is a strong asset. Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Experience with remote configurations and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
