Need the other tech, yet not at advanced level (WS Redshift, Snowflake, RDBMS, NoSQL and Hadoop JOB DESCRIPTION: ETL Developer will develop and test reliable and complex ETL processes to support new development of the enterprise data warehouse and other business intelligence projects. The position will work in Keck Medicine IS team on data quality routine, data transformation, relational database, big data system. Guided by senior ETL team members, the ETL Developer will work on automation, job scheduling, dependencies monitoring and maintenance of ETL mappings documentation. Also, this role ensuring data integrity, maintaining system security, extracting, analyzing and transforming data. Applies learned skills to perform problem resolution across integrated platforms, systems, processes and departments. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Keck Medicine of USC. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Data Warehouse Projects: Support design, development, test and deployment of enterprise data warehouse projects including creating ETL with Talend ETL tool, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, big data platform, Hadoop, Cloudera, etc. Operation Support: Automation, job scheduling, dependencies monitoring and maintenance of ETL mappings, mapplets and documentation. Priority Management: Must work several assignments at one time, follow/meet priorities, deadlines and time. The work is highly technical, requires collaboration across multiple disciplines and groups. The ability to work independently is also required. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Requires a maturing level of analytical ability to find solutions to increasingly difficult technical or to determine economic feasibility or options available, and to nothing related to supervisory or leads assess time involved in system changes. Thorough documentation skills are also required. Solid experience in ETL using Talend Bigdata ETL tool Requires hands-on expertise in programming with database services. Must be able to demonstrate experience with AWS Redshift, Snowflake, RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop Must be able to communicate the impact and solutions of application/system problems in business language Must resolve problems entirely by either completing the work or gathering all of the resources needed for ultimate resolution and continuity of problem management. Education and/or Experience Bachelor Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience 3-5 years of relevant experience including programming in Talend BigData ETL tool. 3-5 years of relevant experience including programming in data modeling, OLAP, Hadoop, Cloudera, Talend, RDBMS, NoSQL, Hadoop, enterprise data warehouse projects. Experience with Structured Query Language (Redshift, Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Oracle) required.
