Continuous Integration and Deployment: Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar, to enable smooth and efficient application deployment. Monitoring and Alerting: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks, security threats, and system failures. Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices, implement access controls, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to protect sensitive data and maintain a secure environment. Automation: Drive infrastructure automation efforts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies, to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management of resources. Scalability and High Availability: Design and implement scalable and highly available solutions, leveraging GCP services such as load balancers, auto-scaling groups, and multi-region deployments. Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the infrastructure and applications and implement optimizations to enhance system performance. Collaboration: Work closely with software development teams to understand their requirements, provide infrastructure support, and offer guidance on best practices. Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a focus on GCP. Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, etc. Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices in a cloud environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Google Cloud Platform Certification (e.g., Google Certified Professional - Cloud DevOps Engineer). Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack). Previous experience in a high-traffic, production environment.
