He wants senior Azure Cloud engineers for project work and Support. He said Architects will get bored in this position doing support tickets and other support related responsibilities. ****Engineers, not Architects We need a senior (10+ Years) Azure Infrastructure Cloud engineer that is comfortable doing a lot of Service Ticket and engineering work. THIS IS NOT A DEVOPS POSITION THROUGH THERE ARE ELEMENTS OF DEVOPS IN THE DAY-TO-DAY WORK. Candidates must be able to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the cloud infrastructure as well as Implement and manage Azure-based solutions, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, and Azure Site Recovery. Microsoft Azure Compute, Fabric, and Storage THIS IS NOT A PURE DEVOPS POSITION. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME DEVOPS ENGINEERS. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Azure services and be proficient in managing cloud infrastructure. The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership in support of corporate initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the support of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. They develop and coordinate cloud solutions across diverse areas including application development, identity and access management, networking, security, data management, and more. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, implement and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage, network, and security resources. Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the cloud infrastructure Implement and manage Azure-based solutions, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, and Azure Site Recovery Experience with Power, Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation and configuration management tools. Work with development and operations teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues. Implement security and compliance policies and procedures Create and maintain documentation for the cloud infrastructure and services Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and features and provide recommendations to improve the cloud infrastructure Setup Backups and Monitoring of resources Participate in operational triage calls to help resolve issues when they arise Experience in triaging components of traditional on-premises distributed systems (storage, network, compute). Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service ownersSKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: Successfully prioritize and oversee multiple simultaneous work streams Must be able to work in a demanding environment; flexible work scheduled can be required Comfortable with providing Tier I and Tier II problem resolution with team members and business community users within expected SLAs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Hands On with PaaS and IaaS cloud ecosystems Minimum of 5 years' experience within the financial industry and/or at a highly complex regulated technology organization desired Knowledge and expertise with Cloud technology architecture and design in a hybrid environment a plus Excellent communication skills Adaptable, innovative and stays current in Cloud technologies. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience 7 + years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations Ability to provide technical documentation, diagrams, process flows, data flows and artifacts is required Must possess solid hands on experience with Azure Enterprise Environments Experience with mutli-cloud environments a plus Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Engineer role highly valued Strong understanding of operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Solaris, & Windows. Familiar with the concepts, pros, and cons of the various operating systems. High level understanding of vital cyber security concepts.
