[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Windows System Engineer/ Architect Location: Bellevue, WA (Remote) Long Term Contract Job Requirements: 13+ years of IT experience and minimum of 5+ years of experience on Azure Database Migration with technically guided, managed, and governed the team. Willing to provide 24x7 support, flexible to work in the shifts. Primary skills: Perform end to end technical assessment on identified inventory on Windows Server and its current version of operating system. Performing the tasks required for the assessment focused on technical compatibilities on upgrade, internal dependencies, security and compliances, patches and business applications compatibility and scalability requirements. Engage and drive technical discussion with Application owners, Infrastructure owners and with customer SME. Work on identified tools, scripts, and process for data discovery for performing the end-to-end assessment. Report Preparation and creation Develop full scale assessment report focused on Baseline inventory Server/VM OS upgrade (Source to Destination) Server upgrade methodology Internal and external dependency Technical challenges /risk and supporting mitigation process. Upgrade plan and timelines Platform dependency for new requirements, resources (HW/SW), application scalability, compliance and risk related details. Develop logical reference architecture aligned to application infrastructure mapping. Validate Backup and recovery process. Strong Knowledge with Backup and restoration of Servers Secondary Skills: Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability in Azure. On-Prem/Cloud upgrade of Windows Server from Legacy version to latest versions in Azure Good knowledge in PowerShell script Strong Knowledge with Windows Virtualization Conforming to client compliances and expectations Certifications (Good to have) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions Soft Skills: Good customer connects. Prepare solution presentations, Migration Planning preparations. Ability to work well in a team. Excellent problem-solving skills Good communication Educational Qualification: BCA/MCA/BE/B.Tech or equivalent.
