Position : SAP BW HANA Consultant Location: Initially Remote California Type of hire: Contract Job Description: Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field 6+ years of application development experience in SAP systems, BW on HANA and Business Objects tool Hands on experience designing, developing and maintaining SAP BW 7.5 on HANA, and HANA data models Experience with Native HANA modelling tools Experience with SAP Business Objects tools is a plus Hands on experience designing, developing and maintaining BW 7.5 on HANA, and HANA data models Skills and Abilities: Strong experience in BW on HANA; Experience in BW4/HANA, S4/HANA a plus Strong data modelling capabilities Business Objects Suite front end visualization tools, data services Knowledge of BPC Strong hands-on experience HANA, ABAP Cross functional experience is preferred SAP Financials/SAP Logistics/SAP HCM/SAP SRM Develop and maintain BEx queries, including complex calculations, structures, formulas, customer exits and BADi variables. Strong experience with SAP tools like SAC, Webi, Analysis for Office is a plus Experience with non-SAP visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus Experience with Native HANA SQL scripting Experience with operation and support of BW DTO or archiving (IQ NLS), and HANA NSE for data volume management. Experience with Embedded Analytics and CDS Views customization Experience with Data replication tools like SLT , BODS is a plus Essential Functions: Works closely with business areas to understand and define system requirements and then make recommendations on solutions to fit the business need. Evaluate current system capabilities to identify changes that need to be made and determines the impact to the business. Ensures that the proposed solution fulfills the business needs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail Develops technical specifications from which applications will be written to support the business. Works with team members to communicate and ensure understanding of requirements and tasks. Develops programs and solutions using appropriate technologies and provides ongoing support in responsible areas. Provides test plans and executes technical and functional tests of solutions to verify desired results. Evaluates results and coordinates modifications necessary to meet the requirements. Develop and maintain all system related documentation.
