Requires sound understanding of object oriented programming, parallel processing and distributed systems. Create scalable, high performance batch systems using complex, high-volume data stores. Consult with Business Owners on new projects. Participate in implementation, including maintenance, user allocation, file design, coding, error removal, logic optimization, systems re-evaluation, testing, user approval, final corrections, and program and run time documentation. Accountabilities/Tasks performed: Accountable for software quality and service level agreements. Perform systems analysis and design of projects that meet the business needs of MasterCard. Write, debug, diagram, create flowcharts, code, and document programs. Prepare technical project plan, incorporating development costs and tasks of the various technical components. Responsible for delivering accurate, high quality batch application code based on design specifications. Remove code errors and assist with effort estimates. Desired Skills/Abilities: Ability to quickly learn new applications. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with changing priority. Excellent communications skills - both written and oral. Self motivated, good organizational skill; Team player. 4-6 years experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL. 6 years programming experience. Duration of assignment Is there an anticipated opportunity for conversion or extension 12 months + possible extension. What is your teams main responsibility Mainly we would want them to be led by the leads and they wouldn't come in and perform 100% perfectly. From a work standpoint, we need someone that's a team player and is willing to learn, keep all parties updated and be able to recognize red flag or development issues. Updating stories, being able to share when a story is completed, etc. How would you describe the culture of your team Pretty open and transparent, we're pretty much going to group together to share the details about the work and discuss features/stories. People do love working in the team because we're transparent and collaborative, everyone helps one another. What will a typical work day look like for this contractor Perform maintenance and development work on the EDC tool, co-ordinate and support team, Very important: associate need to be flexible and adaptable attitude. What will the work schedule be 2 teams, and few team members in India. We may start calls at 7-7:30 CT and typical work around 8 Will this position require OT No. Will there be any travel involved No. What are your top 3 required technical skills 1. Angular or React, jQuery, Bootstrap, or similar libraries. 2. Java /spring boot/microservices (developer hands-on , not a lead.) 3. CI/CD using Jenkins, deployment using PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry). What are a couple of desired/nice to have skills 1. Data warehouse background preferred 2. Informatica data quality, 3. data catalog, 4. data lineage What soft skills would you like to see in a candidate 1. Team work spirit. 2. Good documentation skills 3.
