Position: Splunk Engineer with SIEM and AWS Location: Plano, TX (onsite) Duration: 12+ Month JD Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assess applications, software and hardware. Develop, coordinate and administrate AWS infrastructure. Automate deployments, infrastructure as code . Have containerization, (Kubernetes, Docker) troubleshooting and support tasks. Linux servers troubleshooting and support tasks. Maintaining cloud components to maximize their uptime and performance and minimize their cost. Ensure everything that is built is inline with infrastructure as a code principles. Ensure all components have adequate monitoring and logging to prevent outages. Ensure there is a well written set of documentation for the cloud services that are being used. Work with server less environments. As a Senior Splunk Security Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the deployment, and maintenance of the Splunk Security Information Event Management (SIEM) solution within a 24x7x365 federal security operation. The Splunk Engineer will analyze our client. business requirements / systems /networks and translate those specifications into a SIEM design that provides an efficient and effective SIEM solution within a Qualifications. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Computer Sciences, or equivalent prior work experience in a related field Five to seven years of experience in information security with one to three years of Splunk Enterprise is required Knowledge of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) for infrastructure is required Knowledge of scripting languages like Python Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible. n depth knowledge of operating systems security configuration (Windows servers and workstations, AIX/Linux/Solaris, and Apple MAC) In depth knowledge of network appliances (Firewalls, router & switches) Strong analytical skills (i.e., technical and non-technical problem solving skills) Maintain certifications in an information security related field.
