Role: - Lead Azure admin Location: - St. Louis,Mo (hybrid) Job Type: - Long Term Contract Job Description Certification with Azure DevOps engineer expert or azure associate data engineer Azure Administrator: Manage Azure solutions and oversee compute, storage, network, and security in the cloud environment. Implement and Manage Azure Storage manage the space needed to store Azure SQL database, analytics data stores and DevOps storage. Configure Azure files and Azure blob storage. Manage secure storage. Manage Azure subscriptions and profiles. Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Ensure that Azure is positioned provide backup and recovery for databases and applications. Oversee security and identity management. Manage Azure Active Directory objects. Manage Role-based access control. Monitor resources and Log Analytics in Azure portal write Azure Monitor log queries. As needed: Restart/bounce the Azure components/clusters/VMs. Create and manage swap space on deployed cloud systems per policy support the deployed cloud databases and applications. Create custom scripts to automate support processes where able. Power down any un-used VMs. Identify issues at Azure level and resolve escalate to MS if needed. Azure DBA: Maintain the Azure SQL Server and databases / data warehouse / data hub. Monitor, configure, maintain, and optimize database resources. Develop processes for optimizing database security. Set and maintain database standards in Azure. Manage Azure database access. As needed, tune the database performance. Install, upgrade, and manage Azure database applications. Azure Deployment/DevOps: Maintain the Boards, Epics, Features and User Stories for work in the IT Data team and Applications team. Oversee the Sprint cycles ensure that work is progressing through development and release per policy. Verify that all ADO items pass through correct states and are closed or canceled. Advance CI/CD procedures. Client is looking for someone to work on both database management items such as backup and restore in Azure while also working to improve our CI/CD processes within Azure DevOps. I realize the combination of these skill sets may be hard to achieve, but I'm hoping we can get close.
