Job Title: SQL DBA with AWS Experience: 10+ Years Location: San Antonio, TX/Irvine, CA (Onsite) 1. Experience Administering one or more RDBMS such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL on cloud infrastructure. 2. Provisioning Infrastructure in the AWS Cloud specifically with Terraform. 3. Strong Experience in designing and managing public/private cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS) which include RDS, EC2, EBS, S3, EFS, VPC, Cloud watch and IAM roles...etc. 4. Proactively monitor resources and applications using AWS Cloud watch including creating alarms to monitor metrics such as RDS, EC2, ELB, S3, SNS, and configure notifications for the alarms generated based on events defined. 5. Through understanding of Cloud Computing as firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, monitoring, security..etc.. 6. Analyze and develop and execute a plan to migrate eligible applications from on-premises to the cloud. 7. Create business continuity /disaster recovery, fail-over, and run-book documentation. 8. Review and guide application/database designs that meet or exceed current business requirements. 9. Ensure security is integrated into AWS cloud architecture solutions. 10. Strong Knowledge of AWS Services including Lambda, EFS, Redshift, Route 53, CloudTrail, EMR, Data Pipeline, API Gateway, and light sail 11. Responsible for creating Auto-scaling either scale-out or shrink-back instances depending on traffic and demand. 12. Maintain the database security for SQL Server. 13. Implement SQL Server database backup and recovery process in the AWS Cloud environment. 14. Responsible for creating VPCs for shared services and production accounts for database and application servers in public, and private subnets and NAT gateways. 15. Monitored system/database performance for potential bottlenecks, identified possible solutions, and worked with other team members to implement those fixes. 16. Vendor Management, Patching, Provisioning and de-provisioning, Backup & Recovery mgmt. 17. Agent Maintenance and upgrade, Problem management, Change management, Vulnerability and Risk management. 18.
