Duration: 3 months/ contract to hire Skills: IICS/IDMC ,Redshift or Snowflake ,DB2 and SQL server Job Summary The ETL/ELT developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing modifications to our existing Data Warehouse and Data Mart ETL Loads and processing for the Data Services team. This will include the ability to perform these duties in our current on premise environment; DB2 and AIX as well as to have the ability to modernize our development code for the future to migrate to AWS and Cloud tools and data structures (ie. Snowflake/RedShift). This team maintains all application code required to load & balance our data warehouse daily and serve as the source of truth for historical data for the enterprise. Activities will involve participating in Business Requirements review, assistance with system specifications, development of technical specifications, development of code changes in Informatica Power Center as well as Informatica Cloud, unit testing and implementation in production. The developer must follow the defined Informatica development standards and best practices and attend code reviews to assure compliance. Knowledge, Skills and Education Required 3-7 years ETL design, development - experience in Informatica preferred Experience in Database development using DB2, SQL Server & Snowflake/RedShift Exposure to Data Warehousing a plus Experience using a software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology Analytical, problem solving and testing skills. Effective oral & written communication skills Ability to multi-task Attention to detail and quality Must be a team player Knowledge of Jira and AWS components & tools Desire to Learn and Grow Scripting Tools (ie.Python) Experience is using APIs Data Modeling Principles Duties and Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include: Ability to implement code changes based on system specifications Analyze problems and propose solutions Work with DBAs to implement database changes Develop code changes using Informatica Power Center and Informatica Cloud Perform in-depth unit testing prior to promoting to QA Responsible for supporting and taking direction from manager Look for opportunities to enhance existing code & processes Participation in System and User acceptance testing Ability to performance tune internal and user queries and etl loads. Production implementation, including all required documentation. Ability to provide effort and duration estimates Other highly valued skills would include: Knowledge of the Property and Casualty Insurance industry is a plus Stored Procedures/Unix/Perl script knowledge is a plus Knowledge of balancing and Control and the importance of implementing them.
