Job Title:- Functional Testing Engineer Remote Contract Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Functional Testing Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application testing, with proficiency in HP ALM, Selenium Web Driver, and a deep understanding of the SDLC process. The candidate should be well-versed in web-based (.Net) application testing and possess knowledge of SQL databases. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate as a technical team member for application testing activities across various technical areas. Review and analyze change requests to determine scope and estimate effort for testing application changes. Develop detailed test work plans, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business requirements and high-level designs. Schedule and coordinate test execution, including automated regression test suites. Create and execute test scripts, track actual vs. expected results, and evaluate the quality of code changes. Document results of testing activities, including creating and reporting test-discovered defects. Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated regression testing scripts using Selenium Web Driver and Selenium IDE. Follow configuration control procedures over application source libraries at pre-release levels. Provide accessibility strategy consulting to teams, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.0 Level A, AA, and AAA standards for web applications. Develop and implement test automation scripts utilizing automated testing tools and frameworks, with a preference for 3 years of experience in Selenium. Maintain a deep understanding of web-based (.Net) application testing, SDLC knowledge, and HP ALM. Required Skills: 6 years of experience in analysis and testing. 5 years of experience in web-based (.Net) application testing. 6 years of SDLC knowledge. Proficiency in HP ALM. Strong experience with Selenium Web Driver and Selenium IDE. Familiarity with SQL databases. Knowledge of accessibility testing for Enterprise Web applications, including WCAG 2.0 Level A, AA, and AAA compliance. 3 years of preferred experience in developing test automation scripts and utilizing automated testing tools and frameworks, with IIST certification or ISTQB certified test. Experience in maintaining large-scale applications. Preferred knowledge of QTP/UFT, JCL, and Mainframe. Understanding of web-based thin client architecture. Knowledge of web site design and development, including HTML, XML, CSS, and Java Script. Familiarity with mobile apps for accessibility. Preferred Qualifications: IIST certification or ISTQB certified test. 3 years of preferred experience in developing test automation scripts. Familiarity with QTP/UFT. Knowledge of JCL and Mainframe.
