Job Title: System Analyst Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6+ Months Contract Job Description: Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support Hitachi Service Suite Application and other systems for a prominent public utility in Jackson, Michigan. Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver new functionality for internal business customers. Primary focus on developing the Service Suite Field Worker mobile application for contractor completion, with expertise in Service Suite application, configuration, database, and SAP integration. Key Tasks: Develop functional specifications and participate in design, data mapping, and program specification walkthroughs. Conduct detailed analysis, design, and technical specifications ensuring technical compatibility and integration. Lead systems design and determine appropriate technical development and database architecture. Support testing for defect resolution, including test scenario development and execution. Act as a liaison with business users for defect management and resolution. Provide expertise to system users, business partners, and other internal/external customers. Skills: Effective communication skills. Exceptional understanding of Mobile Work Management. In-depth knowledge of PC usage, programming languages, and public utility maintenance functions. Install, configure, test, and implement software applications. Maintain application configuration parameters and system-related documentation. Analyze and create security requirements, backup/recovery tools, failover procedures, and system availability documentation. Familiarity with Clarity, Open Workbench, and Agile methodologies. Technical Knowledge and Experience: Hitachi Energy Service Suite 9.8, GPS, Mobile GIS, SCCM, HP ALM, and Mobile Devices (Apple and Windows Panasonic Toughbooks). Experience in the public gas utility area, preferably with ABB Service Suite implementations. Familiarity with IT principles, methods, and practices. Hands-on experience with JSP, Java/JavaScript, C, C++, and knowledge of quality assurance principles. Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in CS or CIS.
