Role: PostgresSQL Developer Location : Duluth, GA ( Remote) Long term contract Job Description Responsibilities include: Develop simple and complex stored procedures, functions and views to meet enhancement requirements. Provide best practice guidance to the development team with regard to database design and usage. Implement strategic improvements across PostgreSQL DBs. Develop automation technologies to expedite the process of loading data into the end target. Develop ETL strategies for integrating data from multiple sources in data warehouses. Design and develop relational databases. Develop appropriate corrective actions to resolve production data issues. Design database schema to meet new enhancement requirements. Optimize database performance. Develop ETL strategies for integrating or migrating data from multiple sources. Support implementation of new approaches, testing, and tuning of DB processes and functions Perform production deployments and support testing initiatives at various times that may fall outside of normal working hours. Availability and ability to monitor ongoing processes in production and work collaboratively with other teams to make real time changes in PostgreSQL DBs to aid in investigation or performance optimization. Skills and Experience required: PostgreSQL Developer/DBA experience in a 24x7 production environment. Occasional off hours required during special circumstances. 6+ years of Postgres database management and engineering experience Exceptional SQL development and performance tuning skills Demonstrated experience writing complex stored procedures and queries. Proven experience troubleshooting and solving complex databases schemas/warehouses. Understanding and experience of Software Development Lifecycle Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to suggest new strategic approaches supported by data from previous experience and current situation at the client. Experience in database development, administration and management Proven experience using ETL for data integration. Knowledge and experience with Couchbase Database Platform would be an added benefit.
